uneesay is a real-time interpreter for 30 languages. It translates your chat messages as you send them, interprets spoken conversation between two people sharing one phone, and coaches you through a language curriculum with an AI tutor.

Every segment is translated by a frontier model with the surrounding conversation as context, then checked by a second model from a different vendor. The reviewer can rewrite the draft when it finds a meaning, register or terminology error. Longer, ambiguous, medical, legal and emergency segments always go through that second pass.

Thirty: English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, German, Korean, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Persian, Malay, Tamil, Urdu, Swedish, Hebrew, Romanian, Greek and Filipino. They see the translation in their own language. Either of you can tap a message to reveal the original, the romanization and any translator notes.

Put the phone between you and pick the two languages. uneesay listens, works out who is speaking which language, and speaks the interpretation aloud in the other. It handles interruptions and switches direction automatically.

Noise reduction is applied before recognition, and the interpreter reconstructs damaged speech using the conversation so far rather than guessing at isolated words. In very loud places, push-to-talk mode gives better results.

It runs a curriculum. Each lesson has can-do objectives, and the tutor keeps the conversation aimed at them, corrects only errors that matter, saves new words to your review deck, and grades the session against those objectives at the end.

A directory of people who speak what you are learning and are learning what you speak. Send an introduction, and once they accept you can chat with live translation on — which is what makes exchange work when you are still a beginner.

Purchased points do not expire. Bonus and promotional points may, and the expiry is shown when they are granted.

No. Our providers process uneesay traffic under contract as data processors and do not train on it.

Yes. Settings → Account → Delete account removes your profile, messages and learning history within 30 days, apart from transaction records we are legally required to keep.
