Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a uneesay account or using the uneesay app or website ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

uneesay provides machine translation and interpretation of text and speech, AI-assisted language learning, and a language exchange directory. Translation is produced by automated systems. It is generally accurate but it is not certified human translation.

Do not rely on uneesay alone for decisions where a mistranslation could cause harm — including medical treatment, legal proceedings, financial commitments, immigration filings, or safety instructions. For those, engage a qualified human translator.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 14 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age in your country if that is higher. You are responsible for activity under your account. Sign-in is provided through Google; keep that account secure.

4. Points, subscriptions and payment

Some features consume points. Points are a prepaid digital credit with no cash value, are not transferable, and are not redeemable for money. Points purchased through Google Play are governed additionally by Google Play's terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Google Play. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period already paid for.

Promotional points (sign-up bonus, check-in rewards, referral rewards) may expire or be withdrawn if the account is found to be abusing them.

5. Refunds

See the Refund Policy. Where Korean law (including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) grants stronger rights than this policy, that law prevails.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or sexually exploit anyone; to distribute malware; to scrape or resell translations at scale; to circumvent point charges; or to break any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you send. You grant uneesay the licence needed to transmit, translate, store and display it in order to run the Service. We do not sell your messages and we do not use your private conversations to train third-party models.

8. Availability

The Service depends on third-party AI providers. Features may change, degrade or be withdrawn. We aim to give notice of material changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, uneesay is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on an automated translation. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be heard by the court with jurisdiction over the user's address, or the Seoul Central District Court where no other court has jurisdiction.
